TASH, GEOGE L., age 72, of Surprise, AZ and formerly of Los Lunas, NM, passed away after a very short battle with cancer . George was born in Houston, TX on October 20, 1940 and was raised in Minden, LA.

Soon after high school he joined the United States Air Force and served in a variety of positions all over theworld for just over 20 years. He retired in 1979 and then worked civil service with the Air Force as an exhibits model maker for another 20 years.

In 1980 George found himself unexpectedly the single father of his daughter, Jessica. He raised her well and most would say that she was his greatest accomplishment in life.

George enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and generally being outdoors.

Like his father before him he was very active in the Masonic Lodge with memberships at several lodges in NM, but his “home” was at Bethlehem 56 in Belen, NM. In 1999 George placed his faith in Jesus Christ and followed him faithfully until he died.

He is survived by his daughter, Jessica Caughey and her husband, Matthew Caughey; their threegirls, Lily Grace, Abigail Faith, and Sarah Noelle, all of Phoenix. He was preceded in death by his parents, George E. Tash, Dorothy E. (Collins) Tash; and both of his sisters, Dolores I. Tash and Beverly A. Baker.
