Flo met Brother Tony while attending East Texas Baptist University in Marshall, Texas after graduating from Minden High School in 1953. She and Corene enjoyed singing in a trio while in high school. Mrs. Annie Mae Brooks played the piano for the girls. She has many fond memories of growing up and going to school in Minden, La. and Marshall, Texas. 

Brother Tony starred on the basketball team with two other former Minden players, Lamar Pace and Connie Irby, while at ETBU

I failed to mention that Florene had a job working in the college library at East Texas Baptist University.
