BETTY JEAN JONES AND CECIL PALMER

Betty attended  Minden High school and would have graduated with the class of 1955. She was the eldest

daughter of Lorene and Odis H. Jones of Minden. She had two younger sisters, Dot and Linda. They always enjoyed

living near Hunter's Park and the Parkway Baptist Church when they were children.  Betty married her childhood

sweetheart. Cecil attended school in Doyline and graduated in 1951. Cecil died recently and was interred in Springhill,

Louisiana. Betty has shared these two photograph's that were taken when they were young. We hope she will

continue to add to this biography as time goes by.

This is Betty Jean and Cecil when they were young. Notice the old cars in the background and the rolled up

blue jeans. That was the style back then.

They were a little older in this picture. They lived in Minden for a while after they got married

before they moved to Springhill.
